A mexican wave rolls over the crowd waiting for U2 to take the stage.

A shot of the stage before anything was happening.

An expectant crowd of 45,000. This photo was carefully crafted to look like the On Web Culture logo from rambleschmack.net.
The Edge, partly obscured by dry ice, playing the opening notes of ‘City Of Blinding Lights’.
A shot of the stage and one of the walkways at the end of the concert.

UPDATE #2:

Pete also has some photos from the night up in the PeteAndMegan.com Image Gallery.

Nice pics…
Had a really really good time, in a way I’m still buzzing when listening to some of the songs and I imagine myself back at the gig…
One real let down for me (and I knew it wasn’t going to happen, so it’s not really a let down, more of a selfish wish) was that a lot of the 90′s material was ommited, apart from “The Fly”, “Miss Sarajevo” and “Mysterious Ways”. Even though this wasn’t their favourite era with the fans, I really respect them for stepping out of the comfort zone and doing things differently at the time.
For me, it would have been really cool to see “Even Better Than The Real Thing”, “Last Night on Earth” and “Numb” (imagine Edge’s vocal performance!) on thing night, but you can’t have 70 U2 songs in a set!
Having said that, I can’t complain about any of the songs in the current set, it was all beautiful!
Kanye West anyone? Well, at least it’s more tasteful than 50pennies.
